7 and 8 VB go down to New Augusta

Last night the 7th grade volleyball team traveled into the Wizarding World to battle the New Augusta Phoenixes. The Dogs played like first years and got their feet caught in the Devil’s Snare, which allowed the Phoenix to rise from the ashes and secure a first set victory. Understanding that they just lost the battle and not the war, the girls came back for their second year ready to fight back. While the Dogs were able to put together a couple of rallies, windgardium leviosa wasn’t enough to keep the volleyball off the Brownsburg court, so Dumbledore awarded the House Cup to the Phoenix. The girls are hoping to make some magic on Thursday against Danville.

The 8th grade volleyball team played with improved focus and better passing last night against New Augusta, but the Dogs’ scrappy play was a bit scattered compared to the order of the Phoenix, and they again lost in straight sets. The girls finally return to their home court this Thursday and hopefully will be able to find the right combination to unlock the chamber of secrets to find a much-needed victory.
